Packaging Services

GPAX, Ltd provides both short and long term packaging services. These services are provided to component manufactures, users, and systems integrators or placement equipment manufactures for proto runs, pilot runs, preproduction and final production runs. GPAX, Ltd also offers lead trimming services to customers specifications. We receive drop shipped parts from the component manufacturer, package them and ship "on time" direct to the user or we can repackage for the user directly. Standard lead times are two (2) weeks, with expedited service available upon request.

GPAX, Ltd taping services include: All components are to be shipped prepaid (collect shipments will not be accepted) to GPAX, Ltd in Columbus, Ohio (or other authorized third party) in the lowest cost packaging available, or in the component manufacturers standard packaging for protected shipment (no damage to components or component leads). Components will be loaded onto GPAX Component Control Specification (CCS) drawing. Prepping operations (lead trimming) can be performed as required prior to packaging at an additional cost quoted separately.

Included in the price for packaging services are the following:

1. GPAX carrier tape.
2. GPAX StitchLock cover tape to secure the component to the carrier tape.
3. Anti-stat foam interleave tape (if specified on Component Control Specification drawing), which serves to protect component leads when using ThruPAX (flat) carrier, reel material (flanges, hubs) and external shipping cartons, all described as packaging and shipping materials.
4. Labor to receive and load componants onto the carrier tape and package reels for shipment.

GPAX taping services are also available from other "Authorized" and experienced third party packagers. These companies can provide other services as well, such as, testing, marking, programming, etc. Contact them for further information on their capabilities and expertise.
